TEXAS: Bass are Fair on Watermelon Spinnerbaits & Topwaters

AMISTAD:
Water clear; 84-87 degrees; 5.45’ low. Black bass are good on frogs, spooks, Pop-Rs, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, swimbaits, and soft plastic worms. Striped bass are fair on Red Fins and large topwaters. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Catfish are good on cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers under a cork in 6-15 feet. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines, droplines, and throwlines on live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG:
Water clear. Black bass are fair on crankbaits and dark soft plastic worms over grass beds. Striped bass are fair on liver and shad off points. Redfish are good on perch, tilapia, shad, and silver spoons. Channel catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cut bait, and cheesebait near the dam. Blue catfish are fair on cut bait.

CALAVERAS:
Water clear. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits over reed beds. Striped bass are good on chicken livers and shad along the shoreline. Redfish are good on live perch and tilapia along the shoreline. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on cheesebait, shrimp, and shad near the railroad trestle. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON:
Water clear; 79-82 degrees; 9.73’ low. Black bass are good on white spinnerbaits and watermelon soft plastics on main lake points. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch and goldfish.

COLETO CREEK:
Water fairly clear; 3.47’ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon spinnerbaits and topwaters in 5-10 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

FALCON:
Water stained to clear; 87-91 degrees. Black bass are fair on large soft plastics and spinnerbaits in 5-15 feet. Striped bass are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on frozen shrimp, cut bait, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

TEXAS: Black Bass are Good on Watermelon and June Bug Jigs

FALCON:
Water stained; 88-91 degrees. Black bass are good on watermelon and June bug jigs in 8-12 feet. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are excellent on minnows and jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on cut bait and frozen shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

White bass are fair on crankbaits and small topwaters. Crappie are slow. Catfish are good on cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines, droplines, and throwlines on live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

Channel catfish are good on stinkbait and shad near the railroad trestle. Blue catfish are fair on live bait and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON:
Water clear; 86-91 degrees; 8.31’ low. Black bass are fair on shad colored crankbaits and watermelon soft plastic worms. Crappie are fair on minnows. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and prepared bait in 5-15 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

COLETO CREEK:
Water fairly clear; 2.56’ low. Black bass are fair on black/chartreuse soft plastics and topwaters in 5-10 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
