Line sides fishing is good and getting better each day..

The bait has moved out of the creeks and in to the river channel and so has the fish. Down lines are working the best right now. And the best bite is coming after 9am. Some days you can load the boat. But catches of 7 to 20 fish is typical right now with a little work.

December is one of the best months for stripers on Allatoona don’t miss it.. Trollers keep pulling your Mack Farr u- rigs in the river channels during mid day. But in the morning try pulling single buck tails in water less then 20 feet deep. This includes shallow humps out in open water.

Top Water is very slow right now but keep a Jr. Spook ready.

Lines side fishing is good !!!!

The bite this week is the same as last weeks change nothing. The live bait bite has been crazy this week. We are still catching hybrids just not as many as weeks past. Mid lake from Kellogg Creek up to Stamp Creek is producing best. The Allatoona Creek arm and Little River are dead right now and most of the fish we are catching are in the middle section of the main lake.

Fish right on the edge of the river channel either trolling single jigs up in the water column or with down rods 18 to 35 feet down, depending on where you’re marking fish. The schools are real tightly bunched.

If you get the down rods in the right place you have a good chance to load the boat.

Lines side fishing is good. And should get better with the dropping tempertures.

The live bait bite has been crazy this week. My clients have caught really good numbers of Stripers, Hybrids, Whites, spots, Catfish and even a few Crappie. We are still catching hybrids just not as many as weeks past. Mid lake from Kellogg Creek up to Stamp Creek is producing best right now. The Allatoona Creek arm and Little River are dead right now and most of the fish we are catching are in the middle section of the main lake. GEORGIA: Lake Allatoona Fishing

Line side fishing is great and the summer pattern is in full swing.

It’s time for the down lines, umbrella rigs and down riggers. Shad are very hard to keep a live right with the heat every day.

To avoid a bad day, take 24 shiners with you when you head to the water. The south end of the lake is by far the best bite on the lake. Live bait fished off of any main lake point will work.

Also, the humps in the mouth of all the main creeks are holding fish and there is a good evening bite at the dam. The trolling bite is great for the bigger fish. We have had some really good fish this week pulling umbrella rigs near the mouth of Stamps Creek.

The top water bite we have had the few weeks is gone and the full moon phase is the culprit. But we look for it to pick back up by the middle of next week.

Stay tuned.

Line side fishing is great and the top water bite is a barrel of fun all day.

Get a white ½ ounce Rooster Tail and head for the monster schools of stripers, hybrids and white bass busting top water early morning and again late afternoon. The dam is still hot all the way north to Galts Ferry. At times you can see 5 to 6 different schools busting top water at the same time. And sometimes there may be as many as 300 to 400 fish in these schools. These fish are feeding on very small shad.

Use the Jr. Flukes and Zara Spook Jr’s.

Mid day you can catch these fish pulling umbrella rigs and fishing live bait on down lines off of any main lake point or hump in eye site of the dam. Mid lake is also holding good numbers of line sides but these fish are deep. Down lining shad and shiners it the mouth of the mid lake creeks has been working best.

Kellogg Creek and Galts Ferry are both good starting points.

Line sides !!! Great… And the top water bite is still off the charts.

There are monster schools of Stripers Hybrids and White bass busting top water early morning and again late afternoon in eye site of the dam all the way north to Galts Ferry. At times you can see 5-6 different schools busting top water at the same time. And sometimes there may be as many as 300-400 fish in these schools. These fish are feeding on very small shad.

Our bust bite this week has came on white Rooster-tails, Jr Flukes and Zara Spook Jr’s. Midday you can catch these fish pulling umbrella rigs and fishing live bait on down-lines off of any main lake point or hump in eye site of the dam.

Mid-lake is also holding good numbers of line-side but these fish are deep. Down-lining shad and shiners it the mouth of the mid-lake creeks has been working best.

Kellogg’s and Galts Ferry are both good starting points.
